A decade has passed since the regime of Bashar al-Assad massacred thousands of Syrians in a sarin gas attack in Ghouta.

21 August 2013 was the day the Assad regime released the nerve agent sarin on Syrian civilians in the Eastern Ghouta district of Damascus, which was held by rebels at the time.

The chemical attack killed more than 1,400 people – many of them children. Syrians around the world remember the victims, the survivors, and the perpetrators of the Ghouta massacre every year. This is Mohammed Sulaiman's story.
