Earlier this week, °®Âþµº shared footage of Palestinian British writer Ahmed Masoud tearing his book Come What May at the Solidarity with Palestinian Booksellers! event, organised by Na'amod — a movement of Jews in the UK fighting to end their community’s support for occupation and apartheid in occupied Palestine territories.
The event featured an afternoon of readings in solidarity with the Palestinian cultural scene, following the Israeli raid on The Educational Bookshop in occupied East Jerusalem and the arrest of its owners, Mahmoud and Ahmad Muna, on 9 February. In our part 2 video, we speak with British-Egyptian actor and activist Khalid Abdalla, and writer and playwright Ahmed Najar, about the pieces of literature they read at the event and the stories behind the works.
