Displaced Palestinians recall the moment they fled Jabalia amid intense Israeli siege of north Gaza

Israeli forces have killed over 450 Palestinians in northern Gaza since October 6, as airstrikes and tanks continue to bombard the area, especially the Jabalia refugee camp. For over two weeks now, Israeli authorities have blocked humanitarian missions from delivering critical supplies, including medicine and food, to northern Gaza, according to UNWRA chief Philippe Lazzarini. He also stated on X that hospitals have been without power and patients are left uncared for. Israeli forces continue to besiege not just hospitals but also shelters for displaced people in the northern Gaza Strip. At least 400,000 people are facing severe food shortages. Amid this devastation, displaced residents like Achraf Al Jamal recall their harrowing experiences. Al Jamal's family survived under siege for three days, too scared to even light a stove, relying on canned food, and cut off from the world.
