Palestinian woman miscarries after Israeli forces attack family in West Bank
A Palestinian woman miscarried after Israeli forces attacked a Palestinian family in the occupied West Bank on Sunday in a violent storming of the city.
The forces raided parts of Hebron, entering homes and attacking Nidal Jaabari and his family, according to local sources cited by the official Palestinian news agency Wafa.
His wife then miscarried and was then taken to hospital.
As well as the violence by Israeli forces, settlers assaulted people in Hebron and opened fire at homes. So far, there are no reports of casualties from the shootings.
Hebron, located in the southern West Bank, is one of the cities worst impacted by Israel's military occupation of the territory.
Hundreds of the most extreme Israeli settlers live in Hebron and it was the site of the 1994 Ibrahimi Mosque massacre, which saw Israeli-American extremist Baruch Goldstein kill 29 people.
A further 124 were wounded in the attack at the second-holiest Muslim site in Palestine.
Israeli forces and settlers have escalated their attacks on the West Bank, with hundreds of Palestinians killed since the war on Gaza began in October.
The Israeli military campaign in Gaza has killed at least 41,206 people, according to the coastal enclave's health ministry.
