Palestinian wounded, three detained in Israeli raid on West Bank
A Palestinian man was rushed to hospital on Monday evening after being shot in the face in the West Bank town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, with dozens more treated for tear gas inhalation.
Three Palestinians, including a minor, were detained during the Israeli raid.
Former prisoner Diyar Ivan Jamal Al-Salibi, 20, Wassim Nabil Ahmad Bahr, 18, and Wassim Mohammad Fares Al-Sheqdam, 14, were taken by Israeli soldiers, Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.
Israel has carried out near-daily deadly raids on towns in the West Bank since March, with over 100 Palestinians killed since the beginning of 2023, when a hard-right Israeli government came to power.
The cities of Jenin and Nablus have been frequent targets of Israeli raids.

Israel said the latest raid came after locals in Beit Ummar aimed fireworks toward the Israeli settlement of Karmei Zur.
Palestinians have witnessed numerous assaults by Israeli settlers in both the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem, with Israeli security forces usually turning a blind eye or even assisting.
