A man foundÌýshot deadÌýin the town of on Friday was the 126thÌý citizen of Israel to have been murdered this year, according to local news reports.

The 51-year-old man was found deadÌýinside his vehicle in a health clinic parking area with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body, Haaretz . Ambulance staff declared him dead on the scene.

The man was the fourthÌýPalestinian citizen of Israel to have been murdered this week.

A parliamentaryÌýÌýin August revealed that maleÌýÌýaged over 25 are 36 times more likely to fall victim to gun violence than their Jewish Israeli counterparts.

Those living in a predominantly PalestinianÌýarea were 30 times more likely to be a victim of gun crime than those living in Jewish neighbourhoods, according to the study.
