Khan Younis has been the centre of heavy Israeli bombardment, where residents have been forced to flee many times. Many have returned despite the destruction and despite several Israeli orders for Palestinians to evacuate to the designated humanitarian zone, which Israeli forces have repeatedly attacked anyway. Yet despite the trauma and destruction they've endured, this has not stopped Palestinians from looking after their health whenever they possibly can - as seen by the revival of this gym.
