Jeremy Corbyn has said the UK is supplying arms being "used to kill wholly innocent Palestinian people". Speaking to °®Âþµº in an interview following his re-election as the independent MP for the UK constituency of Islington North, he said the "tragedy of Gaza" should be met with a halt to arms supplies to Israel. Israel's war on the Palestinian enclave has so far killed almost 40,000 people and injured more than 90,000. The International Court of Justice recently found that Israel's occupation of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza was illegal. Corbyn said for the war to be "over tomorrow", Israeli forces and the settlements would have to be withdrawn from the West Bank.
