Outrage as video shows armed 'Saudi prince' threatening civilian
A Saudi prince threatened civilians with a gun during a street fight in the kingdom, a video which went viral on Tuesday evening purportedly showed.
Social media users accused Mashhoor bin Talal bin Saud of being the gun-wielding man in the video, with social media users demanding the prince be held to account for his actions.
While some called for his arrest, some suggested the royal was just angry for the arrest of his brother, billionaire businessman Alwaleed bin Talal during the latest nationwide corruption sweep.
Translation: "A new disaster.. terrorising the streets, illegal number plates, holding weapons and threatening death"
Translation: "Silence toward these crimes is what allows it to continue. A civilian is a red line"
Translation: "O' Muslims, are you sure we are in Saudi Arabia or in a terrorist state? After the embarrassing situation with the killer prince, there is a new farce: Prince Mashhour bin Talal threatens a civilian with a weapon."
Translation: "Al-Saud are the corruptors on this land"
Translation: "The question is how many crimes has this prince committed without being filmed"
Translation: "He is probably just angry because of the arrest of his thief of a brother, Alwaleed bin Talal"
The latest video resurrected the case of Saudi Prince Fahd bin Nayef bin Saud bin Abdelaziz al-Saud, who murdered a teenage Saudi boy - Monther al-Qadi - in 2003 using a machine gun in broad daylight.
In May 2004, and after months of royal mediation, the prince was pardoned by the teenage boy's father just moments before his execution.
