Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman set to visit Turkey 'in coming the period'

Turkish Foreign Minister said on Tuesday that Ankara and Riyadh had agreed on a visit byto Turkey in the "coming period", but said no date has been set.

"Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to was actually going to happen this month, but we agreed to have it in the coming period," Cavusoglu told state media.

He added he was working on setting a date with his Saudi counterpart.

He added that efforts to strained ties with Riyadh were moving fast.

Relations between the regional rivals were strained after a Saudi hit squad killed at the kingdom's consulate in Istanbul in 2018.Ìý

More recently, Erdogan has sought to break Turkey's regional isolation, restoring ties with the UAE, reaching out to Israeli leaders and pursuing talks with Egypt.Ìý
