Ship runs aground in Egypt's Suez Canal: sources
A ship ran aground in Suez Canal late on Wednesday and tug boats were working to release it, two navigational sources said.
The sources said the vessel had been blocking navigation in the canal, though a separate source from the Authority said shortly afterwards that the ship had been refloated.
A giant ship ran aground in the navigational course of the Suez Canal, which caused the navigational movement to stop. Preliminary information indicates that the ship is a Singaporean oil ship that was heading to the port of Yanbu.

There was no immediate official confirmation of the reported incident from the SCA.
This is the second time in two years that a ship has been stuck in the Suez Canal. In March 2021, the waterway was blocked for six days after the , a 400-metre container ship, ended up wedged across the Canal.
