Police at the United Statesordered the complex be evacuated Wednesday, saying it was "tracking an aircraft that poses a probable threat."
The statement gave instructions for people at the complex at the heart of US government in to leave, but did not give further details on what kind of aircraft it was tracking.
The police shortly later released a statement saying there was "no threat" to the building.
Neither the US House of Representatives nor the Senate, both housed at the complex, were in session.
