Palestinians injured as Israel launches raids across occupied West Bank
At least twelve Palestinians, including a 60-year-old man and an 18-year-old, were shot and injured by Israeli forces in Nablus as others were arrested elsewhere in the West Bank as Israeli forces continued their raids on Sunday.
The forces detained civilians, including two children, across the occupied territory, launching raids in Hebron, Ramallah, Bethlehem, and Qalqilya. The Israeli army ransacked many homes during these raids.
Israeli forces are continuing their offensive in Jenin and its refugee camp, killing at least 25 Palestinians and injuring dozens since it began on 21 January – two days after the Gaza ceasefire deal went into effect.
Israeli drones heavily patrol the area, buildings have been destroyed, civilian homes have been transformed into military outposts, and soldiers have been deployed in the refugee camp.
The army is also continuing its assault in Tulkarem after expanding its offensive to the area and its refugee camp a few days after the assault on Jenin camp begin. The Nour Shams camp has been witnessing intensified assault for the eighth day now, as Israeli forces fired flares over Tulkarem overnight.
Eyewitnesses told Wafa residents have been used as human shields during the raids.
Israeli forces have raided and occupied homes, destroyed property and displaced over 15,000 civilians.
The army also raided Tammun and the Far'a refugee camp in the province of Tubas.
Israeli forces and settlers have killed 920 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank since October 2023.
