Co-produced by Metafora Production, which is part of Fadaat Media group alongside The New Arab, 'From Ground Zero'Ìýis a collection of short films created by 22 Palestinian filmmakers living through Israel's war on Gaza.

The film combines animation, documentary and fiction, aiming to showcase the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring power of creativity in the face of ongoing devastation, according to its producers.

Coordinated and funded by director Rashid Masharawi, the film was released in the US by Watermelon Pictures on 3 January.

Moore, who won the Oscar for his pioneering documentary 'Bowling for Columbine' and the Palme d’Or in 2004 for 'Fahrenheit 9/11', called the film a "cinematic miracle".

"These Palestinian filmmakers have accomplished a cinematic miracle. They have made a brilliant film in the midst of what Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have now declared a genocide," Moore said.

"The extraordinary film "From Ground Zero", which I am honored to serve as an executive producer for, is a living testament to human will. The mere existence of this film is a human and cinematic miracle," he added.
