Two killed in Lebanon, several injured as Israel continues breaching ceasefire
Two people were killed and two others were wounded by an Israeli drone strike on a southern Lebanon town on Saturday, marking the first killings since a ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel came into effect on 27 November.
The attack targeted the town of Rab Thalatheen as shelling was also reported in other border towns, according to .
Earlier, an Israeli strike targeting a car in the village of Majdal Zoun injured three people, including a seven-year-old child, the health ministry said.
Another person was injured in a separate Israeli strike onÌýAl Bisariya, which lies near the southern Lebanese city of Sidon, the ministry said.
The that Israeli drones flew at "low altitude" over Beirut and its southern suburbs late on Saturday, marking the first occurrence since the ceasefire.
A truce came into effect on Wednesday, but Lebanon has voiced concern to brokering parties - Washington and Paris - that Israel was violating the deal.
The ceasefire deal, which was intended to end more than a year of cross-border exchanges of fire and two months of all-out war, went into effect early on Wednesday.
As part of the terms of the agreement, the Lebanese army and UN peacekeepers will deploy in southern Lebanon as the Israeli army withdraws over a period of 60 days.
Hezbollah is also meant to withdraw its forces north of the Litani river, approximately 30 kilometres (20 miles) from the border, and dismantle its military infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
On Friday, the group's chief Naim Qassem vowed to cooperate with the Lebanese army "to implement the commitments of the agreement".
Lebanese media outlets reported that Israel had continued to breach the ceasefire agreement through air and ground attacks on southern Lebanon.

In a separate report,Ìýsaid that an Israeli tank and a bulldozer had entered neighbourhoods in Aitaroun in Bint Jbeil, an area that Israeli forces had not entered during the war with Hezbollah.
At least 3,961 people have been killed in Lebanon since October 2023 by Israeli attacks.
