Al Nasser Hospital, the largest medical facility in Gaza and a crucial lifeline for thousands in the southern enclave, is on the brink of collapse as Israeli tanks surround it. The hospital faces a dire siege, significantly hindering its ability to provide essential medical services.

The situation in Khan Younis, where the hospital is located, has been particularly deadly in recent days. The medical conditions within the hospital are critical, with resources stretched thin and staff struggling to cope with the influx of casualties.

Witnesses and medical staff report a grim scene, with injured people lying on the ground, desperately needing care. The siege has also led to a shortage of medical supplies and restricted access for medical personnel and ambulances.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the number of Palestinian casualties yesterday was alarmingly high, adding to a toll that has now surpassed 25,000 overall casualties since the conflict escalated. This stark figure includes a significant number of women and children, emphasising the tragic human cost of the ongoing conflict.

The situation at Al Nasser Hospital is emblematic of the broader healthcare crisis in Gaza, where medical facilities are overwhelmed and unable to adequately respond to the needs of the population amidst continuous attacks and a crippling blockade.
