A Ìýman was critically injured on Wednesday in an alleged stabbing attack by a right-wingÌýÌýmob, according to the Arab48 news website.

The attack on Fadi Washhah, took placeÌýin , a city south of Tel Aviv.

An ambulance was first called for Washhah, who is from Nablus District, though he was thenÌýadmitted to hospital for hisÌýsevere injuries, requiring him to be placed in intensive care.

IsraeliÌýpolice are yet to make any arrests, though Arab48 said he was attackedÌýby "Jewish youths" because of his Palestinian ethnicity.

This news follows the fatal shooting of Palestinian Moussa Hassouna last Monday in the city of Lod.

According to a Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor press release, the deceased's father he was shot by "[f]our Jews belonging to a group called the 'Torah Nucleus'".

"The bullets hit my son's heart and killed him instantly," he added.

At the , the Israeli Ynet news website said this was "a suspected hate crime" and that a Jewish man, 34, had been arrested.

Arab48 suggested a second suspect, aged 42, had also been detained.
