The Israeli military announced on Wednesday that over 10,000 soldiers had been treated for wounds sustained during their war onÌýGazaÌýsince 7 October.

The Defence Ministry Rehabilitation Department said that of the 10,056 soldiers it had treated, 35 percent were suffering from a post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and 37 percent suffered physical trauma.

The conditions of the following 28 percent were not detailed in the announcement.

The announcement also detailed that 65 percent of soldiers were reservists and that 1,000 new soldiers were received by the department each month.

Most starkly, the department issued a forecast for how many soldiers it would be treated by 2030, putting the number at 100,000 including half with PTSD symptoms.

The department is currently working with 62,000 people wounded in previous wars and includes members of the Israeli military and other security bodies.

Israel's war on Gaza has seen the military conduct large-scale air and ground operations in the enclave, killing at least 39,965 people and wounding a further 92,294.

Its operations have destroyed much of the enclave's infrastructure and caused a humanitarian catastrophe for its civilian population.

According to data from the Israeli military, 330 soldiers have been killed in the ground offensive in Gaza, with a further 2,206 being wounded in the enclave.

Including Hamas's 7 October attack, the count becomes 690 soldiers killed and 4,310 being wounded.

Israel has also been battling Hezbollah in a series of tit-for-tat exchanges that have recently escalated, spurring fears of a broader regional war and an Israeli invasion of Lebanon.

In the fighting on the Israel-Lebanon border, Israel claims that 18 soldiers have been killed in the clashes, which have seen Hezbollah conduct rocket and drone strikes on Israeli positions, with dozens more wounded.

Over 300 Hezbollah fighters, and over 100 civilians, have been killed in subsequent Israeli strikes on Lebanon.
