Mohamed Salah is strongly speculated to be in the process of a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad following reports that the player had reconsidered his previous commitment to Liverpool FC.

On Saturday, Saudi broadcaster KSA Sports TV claimed that Salah would leave the club for a medical with Al-Ittihad immediately after a final match against Newcastle which happened on Sunday.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool are unlikely to sell Salah even with a reported offer of £85.5 on the table.

Likewise football pundit Jamie Carragher, in comments made to Sky Sports on Sunday, speculated only a £150 million deal would persuade Liverpool to sell Salah.

"You're not replacing Salah for £100 million. If it was earlier, maybe. But it's so late in the [transfer] window," he added.

Although the transfer window in Saudi Arabia closes on 20 September, the Premier League transfer window is set to close this Friday, leaving little room for negotiations.

Salah, who captains Egypt's national team, had previously rejected a move to Saudi Arabia after reports emerged that Al-Ittihad offered to pay Liverpool £60 million for him.

It was also reported that over a period of two seasons Al-Ittihad would pay Salah £155 million, however, Ramy Abbas Issa, the superstar player's agent, stated that "Mohamed remains committed to LFC."

These comments were further confirmed by Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp, who on Friday stated that Salah is "100 percent committed" to Liverpool.Ìý

Speculation over the move of Mohamed Salah, one of the premier leagues top scorers, comes at the end of a summer spending spree by football clubs in the Saudi Pro League that has seen Neymar, Karim Benzema and Sadio Mane, amongst numerous others, move to Saudi clubs.
