Lebanon, Kuwait agree to cooperate after Captagon drug bust

Lebanon and Kuwait have reportedly agreed to more security and intelligence cooperation after Lebanese customs confiscated nine million Captagon pills found hidden in a shipment of oranges to Kuwait.

and  have reportedly agreed to bolster security and intelligence cooperation and exchange of information to combat smuggling after a major drug bust.

The agreement was made in a phone call between the two countries' interior ministers, according to The National, after Lebanese customs that were found hidden in a shipment of oranges to Kuwait on Wednesday.

The agreement comes as Lebanon tries to mend its relations with Kuwait and other Gulf states, which soured earlier this year when Lebanon's then-Information Minister George Kordahi described the war in Yemen as s.

Kuwait in response to Kordahi's comments.

Kordahi  earlier this month, saying he wanted to help ease the diplomatic spat.
