Israeli-American billionaire Miriam Adelson has given $95 million to Donald Trump's election campaign as the US elections near.
Adelson, one of the Republican Party's top donors and a staunch Zionist, had spent so far spent $100 million through four payments to her political action committee (PAC) supporting the Republican candidate, according to a report filed with the Federal Election Commission.
It was revealed in June that, despite remaining neutral in this year's Republican presidential primaries, Adelson pledged to spend millions in support of the eventual nominee.
Adelson and her deceased husband Sheldon Adelson had given Trump $90 million in 2020. The pair had contributed significantly to pro-Israel lobbying efforts and political candidates, particularly in the United States.
The Adelson family also own the right-wing Israel Hayom newspaper, is a resident of Tel Aviv, and regularly donates to illegal Jewish settlements in occupied Palestinian territories and pushed for US recognition of the occupied West Bank as part of Israel.
They are also key supporters of the controversial "Birthright" program, which sponsors Jews worldwide to visit Israel.
Adelson was one of three billionaires - Elon Musk, and Richard Uihlein - who gave almost $220 million towards Trump's campaign in three months.
X owner Musk - who had recently visited Israel - became a Republican mega-donor by giving $75 million to his pro-Trump spending group, America PAC, in three months, more than any other pro-Trump group focusing on voters in contested states.
The PAC is focused on turning out voters in the swing states that could decide the election and spent almost $72 million during July and September – according to the Federal Election Commission.
The world's richest man ramped up his support for the candidate, saying he is "all in" on the former president. He endorsed him in July and appeared at one of his rallies in October.
Trump's rival democratic candidate, Kamala Harris, has raised $1 billion since standing in late July, raising donations faster than any other presidential candidate.
Her campaign got $633 million during the third quarter, four times the amount that Trump's equivalent fundraising arm raised in that period.
