Israel's war on Gaza has continued into its 428th day, with strikes killing and wounding at least 50 people since Friday evening.

A strike on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza killed at least 22 people, mostly women and children.

A spokesman for Gaza's civil defence said the attack targeted the al-Nadi family home, damaging nearby residences as well.

At least six children and five women were among those killed, Palestinian news agency Wafa reported in the early aftermath of the attack.

In Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, Israeli forces killed at least 29 people in attacks on the Indonesian Hospital and around the vicinity of the Kamal Adwan Hospital, the civil defence said.

The continued strikes come as Israel's security cabinet is expected to discuss proposals received in Cairo on Thursday evening, where efforts continue to broker a ceasefire in Gaza and secure a captive exchange deal.

After the deliberations, an Israeli delegation is expected to return to Cairo to present the response from Tel Aviv.

An Israeli delegation was in Cairo on Thursday evening to meet with Egyptian intelligence officials to discuss Hamas' position on the ceasefire negotiations, °®Âþµº's Arabic-language sister site, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed reported.

Israel's war on Gaza has killed 44,664 people and wounded 105,976 since 7 October 2023, Gaza's health ministry said on Saturday.
