A television crew for a state-owned broadcaster was attacked by forces in the occupied on Thursday.

The incident took place at Azzun, a town near the city of Qalqiliya, said one of the media workers, according to official Palestinian news agency Wafa.

Mohammad Anaya, a Palestine TV cameraman, said Israeli forces violently attacked the crew while they were going about their jobs and videoing an army raid at Azzun.

The assault took place while Israeli troops were suppressing a demonstration against the closure for the past week of the entrance to Azzun.

The soldiers launched tear gas and concussion grenades at protesters, causing dozens to suffer breathing difficulties.

The Israeli military routinely uses violence against Palestinians, including journalists.
