Israeli airstrikes struck the Sabra neighbourhood of Gaza City as well as Jabalia al-Balad, killing several Palestinians and injured many more early on Wednesday.
At least 12 were killed in Jabalia according to Al Jazeera, while a confirmation for a death toll from the Sabra strikes have yet to reported.
Images and videos online have shown families tend to their loves one at Gaza's Al-Ahli Hospital, with many victims visibly severely injured.
Mahmoud Basal, the spokesman for the Palestinian Civil Defence in Gaza, said
One Civil Defence worker was killed and three others were wounded, who was identified as Ali Muhammad Mustafa Omar.
