Hezbollah drone 'taken out after entering Israeli territory': army
The Israeli army said Tuesday that it had taken out a drone sent into its territory byÌýthe Lebanese militant group.

's army said Tuesday that it had taken out a drone sent into its territory byÌýÌýmilitant groupÌý.

"The drone was monitored by our soldiers throughout the incident," the Israeli army said on Twitter.

"The [Israeli military] will continue to operate against any attempt by terrorists to violate Israeli sovereignty."

Political movementÌýand militant groupÌýÌýisÌýa keyÌýregional rival of Israel. The two sides fought in a 2006 conflict that saw allegations of war crimes made against both sides.

It is not the first time Hezbollah has sentÌýdrones into Israel or the territories it illegally occupies. IsraelÌýhas likewise flown drones into Lebanon.

An unmanned aerial vehicle belonging to the Lebanese faction was downed by the in August after a flare-up ofÌýviolence which saw Hezbollah launch rockets and Israel shoot artillery.

An Israeli drone taken out by Hezbollah in southernÌýÌýlast September, the militant organisation said at the time.
