Sofiane Boufal gave their early lead in Sunday's game with a penalty before soon equalised.
Later, the Liverpool star crossed the ball into the penalty box for Aston Villa's Trezeguet to score the winning goal.
Egypt, who are hoping to become AFCON champions for the eighth time, will face Cameroon on Thursday in the semi-final.
